Handyman ServicesHandyman services are just another way of saying home repair and maintenance services or commercial maintenance and repair services. Handyman services can be seen as a continuum with odd jobs and little things on the one end to full on general contracting and structural and systemic upgrades, repair and maintenance on the other. We are unique in that we range across both extremes of the spectrum: we're as comfortable with the big jobs just we with the small and medium jobs. One of the difficulties in finding a a good handyman services company is that one one end, with the small jobs, you often have to deal with haphazard, unprofessional workmanship, erratic scheduling and pricing, and unreliable service, while on the other hand with companies focused on the larger jobs, you may find that they are unresponsive and take a sniffing attitude to your lower value job. Not so with us. We put the same effort and painstaking focus into fixing a thermostat as we do finishing a basement or remodeling a bathroom.
Many people mistakenly believe that a handyman can only working on simple or easy tasks that the handy homeowner or business owner could do themselves given enough time and patience. But this is false on two counts. First, the work we complete is not based on how simple or complicated it is, rather on the level of expertise required to get the job done. Some fixes like flickering lights for example may seem simple, but when approached with the right eye and hand, end up needing the attention of an licensed electrician. Same goes with plumbing and HVAC work. Second, even simply tasks that could be done by an do-it-yourselfer simply cannot be done to the standard of skilled tradespeople who have completed hundreds or thousands of such tasks, a weekend warrior simply cannot have put in the repetitions to do an equally good job. That said what kind of jobs do we typically work on? We unclog drains, lay down tile, epoxy floors, fix and install fixtures, install appliances, stain and paint decks, repair decks, clean gutters, fix and build fences, pressure wash, install cabinets, flooring, build custom carpentry items, patch drywall, put up and tear down drywall, installing and fixing doors and windows, painting, hanging pictures and TVs, replacing outlets and lights, framing out new interior rooms like bedrooms, offices and dens. And that's just a small sample of the kinds of tasks we can complete. Simply put, if we can't do it, it will be because the repair or installation requires very specialized tools that we don't have or cannot get access to, you have a very specific kind of need that only a specialized tradesperson can do the best job on, or we'd like you to get a second opinion from someone who is particularly familiar with the issue. That said in most cases we can do the job and most of the remaining cases we can refer you to someone who can if we don't feel comfortable doing it. |
